ChatGPT is both an amazing and frustrating experience.
As humans, our output can be painfully slow - we use a few muscles in our fingers to try and translate what's in our mind, and then the computer tries to interpret that and give us an output as close to our thoughts as possible.
This process is prone to errors, and iterating can be slow and frustrating, which creates what we call the intention and action gap.
In this gap, a lot can happen - we can lose focus, get distracted, and fail to turn our intentions into actions. The solution to this problem lies in achieving a state of flow.
While I won't dive too deeply into what that means (as it's well-documented elsewhere), what's important to know for knowledge workers like you is that the time spent in a flow state is highly correlated with the quality of the tools you use.
This is where designers come in - they have an important role to play in shaping the way we interact with technology. In the case of ChatGPT, the output is often mind-blowing, but the tool itself can be frustrating.
That's why I built Ask Bily, an Ui for ChatGPT to help you close the gap between your intentions and actions, reach a flow state, and achieve new levels of productivity.
If you're interested in trying it out, please sign up my personal letter below. I will release private invitation as soon as this week.
